There's nothing more embarrassing than taking off your shoes in front of your friends or worst your significant other and you're secretly praying that your feet don't smell. This is not uncommon and believe me, there are a lot of people seeking for excessive sweating treatment. Sweating triggers the growth of bacteria that's why oftentimes it is accompanied by a nasty smell. There are a couple of ways you can do to prevent your feet from sweating and stinking.
You can soak your feet in brewed tea for 30 minutes. Black tea is better than decaf or herbal tea. Tea contains tannins which pretty much act as astringents that can shrink sweat glands opening. The tannins found in tea can also be effective in killing bacteria that causes sweat to become smelly. For every foot soaking session, you can use 4 to 5 tea bags. The stronger the better! Do this everyday for 7 days and make sure you use fresh batch everyday. Also, don't make the mixture too hot because this can cause your feet to sweat more. Lukewarm to cool is a lot better. Some people say that the efficacy of this treatment lasts for a few weeks. You can do this every month if you find it effective.
Another excessive sweating treatment that you can use is vinegar. Put ½ cup of vinegar in a basin of warm water. Soak your feet for 20 to 30 minutes and then dry them off with a clean towel. Make sure you don't miss in between your toes because bacteria tend to multiply if you don't dry your feet well. The vinegar also has exfoliating effects aside from drying benefits. In addition to that, it can also inhibit the growth of fungus. Do not rinse your feet, it is recommended to soak your feet before bedtime. White vinegar is better than apple cider vinegar because it's stronger.
Salt water solution is also an effective excessive sweating treatment for the feet. People have used this kind of method over the past years and we still believe in its power. Have you ever heard about Epsom salt? This salt offers great and various benefits and it includes preventing stinky and sweaty feet. I'm a big fan of Epsom salt and I use it to exfoliate my skin. Soak your feet for 30 minutes in a basin with warm water and Epsom salt. You'll notice that right after the session, you have sweat-free and soft feet. Just try to experiment what sort of method works for you.
